The series stars Mallori Johnson, Micah Stock, Ryan Kwanten, Gayle Rankin, Austin Smith, David Alexander Kaplan, Sophina Brown, and Sheria Irving.
Octavia E. Butler’s novel is adapted by writer-showrunner Branden Jacobs-Jenkins. Janicza Bravo is directing the pilot episode, on which she also served as executive producer. The eight-episode series is an FX Productions production.
