As was foreseeable, after the clash between José Mourinho and the referee Marco Serra – engaged as fourth official during Cremonese-Roma – and the consequent expulsion from the Special One, today the provision of the Sports Judge arrived who disqualified the coach for two days. The Giallorossi coach, according to the report, was disqualified: “For having vehemently and provocatively contested an arbitration decision in the 2nd minute of the second half, reiterating this behavior at the time of the expulsion order; for having also, at the end of the match, entering the referee dressing room, even if authorised, making seriously offensive expressions and inferences to the Fourth Official”.

Trigoria’s management has already decided to appeal to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, to try to reduce the sanction which – if confirmed – would force Mourinho to follow the matches against Juventus and Sassuolo from the stands. In the meantime, the public prosecutor’s office has opened a file to clarify the episode that led to the coach being removed from the bench. In the coming days, both the Giallorossi coach and the fourth official of the match Marco Serra will be heard.

These are the other decisions of the Sports Judge: Mario Rui of Napoli was disqualified for two days “for having, in the 22nd minute, after falling to the ground following a normal game tackle, with the ball far away, voluntarily hit with a kick a player from the opposing team in the groin.” The Portuguese left-back will miss the matches against Lazio and Atalanta. The judge detained nine other players for a day: they are Baschirotto (Lecce), Berardi (Sassuolo), Casale (Lazio), Leao and Krunic (Milan), Ehizibue (Udinese), Ferrari (Cremonese), Gabbiadini (Sampdoria) and Ricci (Turin).
