Speed skater Jorrit Bergsma has reached the final on the mass start at the World Championship distances in Heerenveen. The 37-year-old Frisian finished sixth in his semi-final in which twelve skaters raced over sixteen laps. The top eight qualified for the final.
Bergsma took points early on in the intermediate sprints and thus secured a place in the final before the final sprint. The final will follow later Saturday.
