Titled “The Spider Within,” this Sony animated short is “set in the world of the upcoming Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse.” and explore Miles Morales’s struggles with his roles and responsibilities as a teenagerfriend, student and neighborhood superhero.

“The Spider Within” is part of the new mentoring program LENS (Leading and Empowering New Storytellers) from Sony Pictures Animation and Sony Pictures Imageworks. What can we expect from this new animated short film?
Spider-Man fans have been waiting for more about Miles Morales, including his crossover in live action within the MCU. However, a confirmed project between Spider-Verse 2 and 3 is a surprise, especially since this means that Sony is going to release two Spider-Verse projects in the same month.
Since the announcement revealed that the short is set “in the world” of Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse, it’s possible that the sequel’s effects (and even some of its characters) will contribute to Miles’ new story.
