This is what has happened with the video game Sons of the Forest, which is a direct sequel to the popular action and survival title The Forest, which maintains its essence in this new installment where players must survive on an island inhabited by cannibals, building weapons and shelters to achieve it.
And it is that in addition to recently becoming such a popular game on Steam, that the increase in traffic caused the Valve platform to temporarily collapse, now it has become the best seller on Steam. Seat that had been held for seven weeks by the successful Hogwarts Legacy, a video game based on the world of Harry Potter that, despite all the controversy and calls for different boycotts, continued to lead the list of “top sellers” in the Valve store.

Game that has dropped to number 4 on this list, after having been in first place even before it was released and only with the players who were enjoying it thanks to the previous release, because they bought it in pre-sale.
A trend that, as we indicated, appears cyclically during the launch of a new game, which the community welcomes in a good way, turning them into sales and user successes for several weeks, as has happened with Sons of the Forest, a game that apparently it will continue to generate good numbers that will become well-deserved profits for its developers.
