as you know, Sonic Origins is now available on Nintendo Switch as a Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles compilation and also as a Sonic CD. Today we have been able to learn interesting news about this premiere.
In this case, we are talking about the official announcement of Sonic Origins Plus. After a list, which made us think that something similar to Sonic Mania Plus would happen, now we have news.
This is the official confirmation of the game for June 23, 2023, coinciding with the anniversary of the franchise. This is what it includes:
Sonic Origins Base Game 12 Game Gear-era games emulated and playable through the Museum Classic Amy as a playable character in Sonic the Hedgehog 1, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic CD Knuckles as a playable character in Sonic CD All additional downloadable content previously released in Sonic Origins Never-before-seen reversible artwork for collection cover (physical format only)

Sonic Origins Plus will be available as an all-in-one bundle that includes the Sonic Origins base game and the Plus Expansion Pack, featuring 12 Sonic Game Gear titles, Knuckles playable on Sonic CD and, for the first time, Amy Rose as a playable character on Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD.
This pack also includes previously released additional content: Extreme Missions, Mirror Mode, new character animations, and additional backgrounds and music. The premium physical edition will also include a 20-page art book and a reversible cover that pays homage to the classic Sonic era of the 1990s.
