Sonic Origins Plus is now official! Dated June, adds 12 Game Gear Sonic games, ed. physical and new character.
[Actualización] It’s official! SEGA has published the first trailer with a release date. Sonic Origins Plus, confirming all the information leaked on the morning of March 23. This improved version will allow play with classic amy and will include 12 Game Gear Sonic Games to all the content of Sonic Origins that went on sale in June 2022.

[Noticia original] Registered about a month ago, Sonic Origins Plus It has been leaked and confirmed by the ComicBook medium, which has given all its details in a publication already withdrawn. The improved version of sonic origins has revealed everything, including its release date and its main innovations compared to the original, such as a physical launch or a new playable character: Amy Rose.
This new release can be purchased separately, for a price of 39,99 $ both physically and digitally, or also be purchased as an update. Sonic Origins users may upgrade to Sonic Origins Plus for $9.99 as of June 23, the date this hotfix would be available, just one year after the original version was released.
What’s new in Sonic Origins Plus compared to Origins?
According to the ComicBook portal, which seems to have published the information ahead of time, these are the main news and improvements of the Plus version of Sonic Origins:
12 Game Gear games available in the Museum to play. Classic Amy available as a playable character in Sonic 1, 2, 3 and Sonic CD. Knuckles available as a playable character on Sonic CD. All DLC already released for Sonic Origins. Reversible cover with unpublished art – Only in the physical version. 20-page art book – Physical version only.
All this accompanies the base game, also available. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of the songs being removed in Sonic Origins, so hopefully Sonic Origins Plus won’t change one of the aspects of the game that angered fans the most. Luckily, it does change others that we pointed out in our analysis of the original Sonic Origins, worth the redundancy.
