A new Silent Hill movie is on the way and we finally have the first details about it. The film based on Silent Hill 2 finally confirmed the first actors in its cast, so we already know who will give life to James Sunderland and Mary, his wife.
On the other hand, we also know that the production by Christophe Gans, in charge of the first film in the saga, will start filming soon and will have the support of an important creative team. Of course, the film does not yet have a release date.

Return to Silent Hill will soon start filming with these actors
Thanks to a Deadline report, we know that Jeremy Irvine will play James in the new adaptation. The actor has participated in productions such as War Horse, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, Mamma Mia!, among others.
On the other hand, Mary will be played by Hannah Emily Anderson, an actress who has appeared in films like Jigsaw, The Purge and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The film’s script is in charge of Christophe Gans, Sandra Vo-Anh and William Josef Schneider. As we told you, it will be based on the second installment of the saga.
“Return to Silent Hill is a mythological love story about someone so deeply in love that they are willing to go to hell to save someone. I am delighted that the wonderful talents of Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson will take us on this journey into a world of psychological horror that I hope will satisfy and surprise Silent Hill fans,” Gans said.
The tape will be produced by Victor Hadida, who also handled the first film. The creative confirmed that they are working closely with Konami to leave all the players satisfied. He noted that there will be iconic monsters and new designs that will surprise fans.
“Christophe and I have been working closely with our partners at Konami, as they update the game, to also create a version of Silent Hill for today’s movie audiences (…) We are confident that this new movie and updated game from Konami will together drive the franchise forward for years to come,” Hadida said.
The film will start filming in April, with recordings taking place in Germany and the eastern part of Europe. There is still nothing confirmed about its release date.
