Silent Hill 2 Remake is almost close to completing second Bloober Teamand recently confirmed that the game is technically readybut it will be Konami to decide the release date. While fans are eagerly waiting for it to be released, former series creator, Sam Barlowbelieves the game could be a “poisoned goblet” for developers. While there is still some time before development is finished, the developer’s statement suggests that we may see the game’s release date announced very soon. Additionally, Konami appears to have a number of plans for the Silent Hill franchise underway, with a number of projects already in the works, and the team has already invited developers to submit their ideas for the Silent Hill franchise. Aside from the new releases, fans are undoubtedly the most excited for the release of the remake of the title, and it remains to be seen if Bloober Team can imbue characters with the same magic how did it happen for Capcom with the remake of Resident Evil 4.
In a new interview with PCGamesNil lead designer and writer Sam Barlow of the acclaimed Silent Hill: Origins e Silent Hill: Shattered Memoriesexpressed his concerns about the release of Silent Hill 2 Remake. Sam Barlow has stated that he is not keen on playing remasters in general and adds that i remasters are the largest poison chalice in the industry. Wishing the team good luck, he further adds that he’s not sure how Silent Hill 2 can be remastered without upsetting people. We’ve seen some really good examples of remakes lately. For example, we have the remakes of the Resident Evil franchise that are doing very well, as the latest Resident Evil 4 solves many problems of the original game and will receive a corrective patch.
