Shazam 2 is a super fun and worthy sequel. It’s not a game-changing comic book movie, but it wins you over with its characters and energy. It has some real surprises and a smart sensibility that scales well, plus creative and exciting monster action. The hero continues to lean into his silliness and immaturity in this sequel which tells us this franchise will stick around to keep these movies fun, light and jesters The sequel comes with more action, compelling villains, and a tricky anti-hero. It’s a very good sequel. The theme of the found family offers great emotional beats. Sandberg sprinkles in some horror elements while he maintains the playfulness and childlike charm. Nothing new but very entertaining! I really enjoyed it. Inside Shazam 2 is a fun buddy comedy starring Djimon Hounsou and Jack Dylan Grazer. Few bright spots bogged down by the final act’s murky CGI battle. Levi plays Billy as if he’s in on the joke: A Weird Valley of Humor. It’s a super-powered sequel that packs a punch. A super solid, super funny and super smart combination of hilarity, heart and heroism. It ramps up the action and irreverence to a delightful degree. Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler are MVPs. I loved the dragon! Even James Gunn has left his opinion about the film in his Twitter: I love it, it’s amazing. Zachary Levi, David F. Sandberg, Rachel Zegler and the entire team did it.
