Race 1 of the Motul Indonesian Round valid for the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit goes to Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) who thus celebrates his fourth consecutive victory of the season. In the early stages, Bautista went head-to-head with Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK) who had always won on this track up to now.
In the first five laps Bautista was behind Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK) but then overtook him in turn 15 and took the lead. Razgatlioglu tries to reply but Axel Bassani (Motocorsa Racing) manages to pass him in turn 10 to then be overtaken in turn by the 2021 world champion.
For Bautista and Ducati this is the first victory at Mandalika. Ducati now boasts 396 victories in WorldSBK.
