BIG RAPIDS – A 31-year-old woman in the United States (US) is engaged to fellow women who is 56 years old. The woman of half a century was his school teacher in the past.
This same-sex relationship is criticized by many people, especially the age difference makes them look more like mother and son.
As reported by the New York Post, Friday (31/3/2023), Monica Ketchum (31) from Big Rapids, Michigan, decided to look up her past favorite school teacher, Michelle Foster (56), on Facebook to see how she was doing.
Foster taught science in Ketchum’s class when Ketcum was 13 years old in 2004.
“Michelle is my seventh grade teacher and she is my favorite—I am the teacher’s pet,” says Ketchum, a forklift driver and content creator.
“We didn’t have any relationship other than him being a good teacher—until I contacted him on Facebook 16 years later.”
Ketchum contacted Foster after going through a difficult time with his family after coming out as lesbian, and remembering Foster’s class as a “safe place”.
When Foster received a message from a former “good student” in April 2020, he was initially surprised. But after meeting for lunch in August 2021, the two hit it off.
“We sat and ate lunch for five hours—it was great to talk,” says Ketchum.
