At The Game Awards 2022, FromSoftware confirmed the rumors and officially announced Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, the newest installment in the mecha franchise. There are still many doubts surrounding this project, but a new report sheds light on the possible launch window.
According to a report by eXputer, the sixth installment of the combat saga will debut this fall. This according to alleged anonymous sources familiar with the production of the project.
When will Armored Core VI be released?
Specifically, the sources explain that the developers plan to release Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon in September or October of this year. They indicate that unless there is a hiccup and it is delayed internally, there is a better chance that the debut will take place at the end of September.
Finally, the report indicates that FromSoftware plans to launch the new mecha franchise video game before Shadow of the Erdtree, the new ELDEN RING expansion that was announced this week.

The return of Armored Core
The latest game from Armored Core debuted over a decade ago for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 generation. It’s safe to say that fans of this cult franchise are very eager to enjoy the new installment that was announced late last year in the awards ceremony.
Regarding production, Bandai Namco has already revealed that Hidetaka Miyazaki, the mind behind the Dark Souls saga and ELDEN RING, was the initial director of the project. However, he later passed the baton to Masaru Yamamura, the lead designer for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Of course, Hidetaka Miyazaki has already made it clear that Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is not a Souls with a futuristic skin, despite the fact that it will still be a challenging experience.
