The Giallorossi club has decided to add a new character to the already existing Romulus and for this reason has asked the fan token holders to choose how to call the latest arrival
Romulus doesn’t touch himself, but soon he won’t be alone anymore. The Roma mascot, obviously a wolf cub, will in fact soon have the company of another similar puppet, but with feminine connotations. The Giallorossi club has already released several images of the new entry, but the official name of the debut mascot is still missing, which will be chosen directly by the Roma fans with a survey. The company has in fact communicated the shortlist of four names among which supporters can vote on the fan token app: Ersilia, Romina, Flora and Livia. The polls opened on Tuesday with the Roma-Barcelona match in the women’s Champions League and there is time until the following Tuesday to indicate the preferred name.

As can be read on the club’s official website, each of these names has a very specific origin and a specific meaning to take into account if you have digital tokens and if you want to express your preference. “Ersilia is a name that has its roots in Roman mythology, where she is described as the wife of Romulus” is the first explanation of Rome, followed by the other three, all in their own way from historical roots. “Romina is a name strongly evocative of the Eternal City, it means ‘inhabitant of Rome’ or even ‘Citizen of the Roman Empire'”. “Livia is inspired by Livia Drusilla, first empress of Rome. A statue was dedicated to the Diva Augusta in the temple of Augustus”. And finally Flora: “It is a tribute to Flora Viola, the first woman president of As Roma and of a Serie A club. She lifted the Italian Cup won by the Giallorossi to the sky”. To the people of the Lupa the final choice.
