The Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil recently expressed his disappointment regarding Indonesia’s cancellation of hosting the U-20 World Cup. This was revealed by the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil through his Twitter tweet on Thursday (30/3/2023).
“The cancellation of Indonesia as host of the U-20 World Cup is of course very disappointing for all of us, including those of us in West Java who have prepared several stadiums for match venues and training grounds,” Ridwan Kamil wrote on Twitter.
In his tweet, Ridwan Kamil also revealed that FIFA’s decision to cancel Indonesia from hosting the U-20 World Cup should not be a boomerang for the Indonesian people, especially to the point of blaming each other.
“We accept it gracefully, and it becomes a lesson learned and a moment of introspection for us to be better in the future,” tweeted Ridwan Kamil.

Ridwan Kamil also said that his party would always support Palestinian independence. Especially the support from diplomacy and humanity.
Finally, Ridwan Kamil explained that there are 6 absolute matters that are the authority of the central government.
“Where the attitude of the local government should not be different. The 6 matters cover foreign policy, defence, security, justice, monetary/fiscal, and religious policy,” he concluded.
