Cincinnati-based development studio Glyee Games he announced Ra Ra Boom, a new one side scrolling beat ’em up. The game, belonging to a genre that many instinctively associate with a myth like Final Fight, is coming to PC via Steam this fall. Here is the announcement trailer:
Below is the description available on the page Steam of the game:
“Ra Ra Boom is a fast-paced co-op fighting game for four players, driven by a narrative based on the stories – even personal ones – of a group of cheerleader-ninjas from outer space and their fight to save the rest of humanity on Earth. Built around the fast-paced co-op gameplay at the heart of every 2D beat ’em up, the game will leverage massive boss battles and ranged attacks to create diverse gameplay respecting the tradition of side-scrolling beat ’em ups.”
“Ra Ra Boom also perfects the gameplay of classic beat ’em ups with its unique built-in lane system. By integrating horizontal lanes naturally into the hand-drawn environments, you’ll be able to tell which enemy you’re targeting with a barrage of furious blows, whether melee or ranged. With the ability to quickly switch between lanes, you can strategically target multiple opponents while landing memorable combos.”
