This is Xi’s 9th visit to Russia during his tenure as Chinese President. He landed at Vnukovo Airport, Moscow for a three-day official trip to Russia. This will be Xi’s first visit since Russia launched war in Ukraine last year.

“The growth of China-Russia relations not only brings tangible benefits to the two peoples, but also makes important contributions to the development and progress of the world,” the Chinese president said, according to the China daily Global Times.
