JAKARTA – President Georgia Salome Zurabichvili has been in the spotlight of the local media after supporting a demonstration by her people against a bill related to foreign agents.

“I speak to you, those gathered tonight in Rustaveli, where I too have stood many times. But now I stand in New York. It is a symbol of what Georgia has always stood for, and why we continue to fight today. I am with you, because you represent an independent Georgia now,” he was quoted as saying by the TASS news agency.
Public demonstration in Tbilisi against a controversial Russian-style bill. The bill would classify opposition groups and media as “foreign agents” if they receive funding from abroad.
The initiative to enshrine the concept of a foreign agent in this law has drawn serious criticism from both the Georgian opposition and Western politicians.
Zourabichvili claimed that the bill may have been based on instructions from Moscow, and said he would reject the bill. The president, who has been in office since 2018, also promised to veto the bill if it is passed.
Zourabichvili occupies the chair of the Georgian government with Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili who will rule in 2021.
According to the World Leaders Forum, Salome Zourabichvili was born on March 18, 1952 in Paris, France. As well as Georgian, the female lead also speaks French, English and Italian.
After graduating from the Institute of Political Studies in Paris in 1972, this woman continued her education at Columbia University to study International and Public Affairs until she was declared a graduate in 1973.
