TUORO SUL TRASIMENO (PERUGIA), 02 MAR – “A dutiful remembrance of those who fell into service, of a deeply felt collective memory in Umbria”: thus the undersecretary of the Interior Emanuele Prisco today in Tuoro sul Trasimeno where the superintendent was commemorated of the state police Emanuele Petri killed in service 20 years ago. “A formal remembrance not only by the police but by the whole state of a hero who fell to defend the rule of law,” he added. Recalling how Petri’s sacrifice led to the recovery of elements considered decisive for the investigation of the new Red Brigades, Prisco said that “we still must not let our guard down with respect to terrorism”. “The fight against subversion remains a priority,” he added.
