Portugal has won over Liechtenstein in Cristiano Ronaldo’s record international match. The team won the first game against the new national coach Roberto Martínez 4-0. Ronaldo, who played his 197th international match and is the only global record holder, crowned his jubilee match with two goals, bringing the record number of international goals to 120 hits.
Ronaldo shared the record for this match with Bader Al-Mutawa, who played 196 times for the Kuwait national football team. The Portuguese star who currently plays in the Saudi Arabian league with Al-Nassr had already announced that he intends to play many more matches for Portugal.
João Cancelo opened the score for Portugal in the 8th minute in Lisbon. Bernardo Silva scored the second goal shortly after the break. Ronaldo made the 3-0 from a penalty kick and then also the fourth goal from a free kick.
