PATNA – A porn video is playing on the LEDs of a railway station in Patna, Bihar, India . The 3-minute broadcast made hundreds of passengers uncomfortable with some of them recording it and making it viral on social media.
The video, not part of the commercial, played on the LED platform of the Patna Junction Railway Station at around 10.00am on Sunday.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) rushed to intervene and stop the immoral showing.
When it went viral on social media, many residents protested and complained to officials.
Social media users tagged the accounts of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Ministry of Railways.
A First Information Report (FIR) or police report has been filed against the agency, Dutta Communication, who is in charge of running advertisements and information on LED. The agent was finally blacklisted by the Railways (Railways).
RPF senior commander Danapur confirmed that a report had been lodged with the police under the RPF Act.
“The railways have canceled the contract of the agency and summoned its officials to RPF Patna post for further investigation regarding the matter,” he said, as quoted by Times of India, Monday (20/3/2023).
The LED operator at the railway station in Patna fled soon after the embarrassing incident. However, the RPF is hunting for him.
