The new Peppa Pig: A World of Adventures game pays homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II of England in a disturbing way.
Last Friday, March 17, Nintendo Switch and the rest of the platforms received one of the most anticipated releases of the year, the new game Peppa Pig: A World of Adventures. This title, which takes players around the world with Peppa and his friends, has turned out to hide a somewhat disturbing moment. Which? Peppa Pig’s crazy tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
At the end of the visit to Londonthe game shows a sequence in which Peppa and her friends start jumping over some puddles. The twist comes when the protagonist invites Queen Elizabeth of England to jump with her over a puddle, wearing of course the right boots. The scene is somewhat bizarre, especially when it ends with a fade to a “In Memoriam” of the queen full of mud.
A turn that absolutely nobody saw coming and that has given a lot to talk about. Nintendo delayed a trailer for the new Zelda due to the name of the game and the coincidence with the death of the queen in September 2022. However, it seems that Peppa Pig wanted to pay tribute to the late monarch in his own way.
Did they want to sneak in some kind of symbolism or is it just something totally innocent? What do you think?
