Chapoy and Bisogno break into silence
Faced with the darkness that still surrounds this legal petition, this afternoon, the owner of “Ventaneando” decided to speak out about it, stressing that they cannot delve into the details of the process because it has not concluded and although she pointed out that there is little left for it to reach a resolution, they still cannot talk openly about it.
“There has been speculation about our legal situation, but in the case of a pending procedure we cannot, we can only inform that it is not a crime and consequently an arrest warrant, but rather derives from the restriction of the journalistic exercise on information that was presented. here in ´Ventaneando´”, said Bisogno.
“A judge without sufficient reasons ordered various measures that restrict the right to freedom of expression and our journalistic exercise, prohibiting us from continuing to present information on a particular topic, for which the judge ordered us to arrest for 36 hours without our prior knowledge of the measures and the consequences of their non-compliance”, explained Mónica Castañeda.
