Square Enix has released a new short movie showing the characters that will be featured in Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo, horror visual novel set in Japan in the second half of the twentieth century. After detectives Tetsuo and Jun, it’s the turn of the two protagonists Shogo e Yoko: you can see the video at the bottom of the news.

History
Shogo Okiie, an ordinary office worker, visits Kinshibori Park late at night with his friend Yoko Fukunaga to investigate an urban legend involving ghosts: the Seven Mysteries of Honjo. Shogo doesn’t believe Yoko when she talks about the connection between the mysteries and a resurrection ritual. He doesn’t pay much attention to it until strange things start happening right in front of his eyes.
But the two of them aren’t the only ones investigating the seven mysteries…
Detectives investigate a series of strange deaths, a high school student investigates the suicide of her classmate, and a mother vows revenge for the loss of her son.
With the seven mysteries of Honjo at its core, their desires and reasons intertwine as the story progresses between sanity and curses.
