ROME, MARCH 13 – The 2023 Oscar for best soundtrack was won by the German composer and pianist Volker Bertelmann for the film All Quiet on the Western Front by Edward Berger. Bertelmann beat the veteran John Williams, composer and conductor, author of memorable soundtracks such as those of ET, Jaws, Star Wars, Schndler’s List, Jurassic. Aged 91, Williams was with the music of The Fabelmans, in his 53rd nomination, a true record. (HANDLE).
