Suara.com – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi ordered the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD to explain the issue of suspected suspicious transactions of IDR 349 trillion at the Ministry of Finance to the Indonesian Parliament.
This was conveyed by Mahfud MD after being summoned by President Jokowi at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (27/3/2023). The former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court confirmed that he would explain this to the DPR on Wednesday (29/7/2023).
“The president asked me to attend to explain to the DPR as clearly as possible and give an understanding of what money laundering is,” said Mahfud.
“I will also explain to the DPR as clearly as possible without hiding anything because our president wants information disclosure as far as it is in accordance with statutory regulations,” Mahfud added.

Mahfud explained that on Wednesday he would be accompanied by several first-echelon officials from members of the national chair of the ML prevention and eradication committee.
“So the chairman is me, the members are several ministers and our institution is sufficient to be accompanied by the other echelon, that’s all I’m ready to come on Wednesday,” he explained.
Reach IDR 349 Trillion
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD revealed a report on the results of an analysis by the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) regarding allegations of money laundering (TPPU) which reached IDR 349 trillion.
This figure is greater than the amount of money in suspicious transactions previously disclosed by Mahfud, namely IDR 300 trillion.

According to him, the odd transactions totaling IDR 349 trillion were related to alleged money laundering crimes involving employees of the Ministry of Finance (Ministry of Finance) and other parties.
“At that time, I said Rp. 300 trillion, after further investigation, suspicious transactions were more than that, namely Rp. 349 trillion,” said Mahfud at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Building, Central Jakarta, Monday (20/3/2023).
