What is Robert De Niro cooking up? The next thing for the veteran actor has to do with Netflix and it’s going to be a real outrage.
Netflix has announced a savagery with Robert De Niro. After it was reported that the iconic actor was set to star in an upcoming streaming platform limited series titled Zero Day, the company has officially commissioned the project. He has confirmed that the project will advance in its development. The television series will consist of six episodes.
The project, from producers Eric Newman and Noah Oppenheim, will be a political thriller in which Robert De Niro will play a former President of the United States. De Niro will also executive produce the Netflix series, along with Newman and Oppenheim. According to the series’ tagline, “Zero Day raises the question that everyone is asking. How to find the truth in a world in crisis, seemingly torn apart by forces beyond our control? And in an age rife with conspiracy theories and subterfuge… how many of those forces are the product of our own doing, perhaps even our own imagination?
The expectations with Zero Day are enormous
“I’m a lifelong fan of Robert De Niro. Having him as a producing partner and star in this series is beyond my wildest dreams,” said creator Eric Newman. “And Lesli Linka Glatter has directed many of my favorite episodes of television; she was our first choice to direct this series. I am grateful to Netflix for their continued faith and support and excited to be in business with the incredible creative team of Noah, Lesli and Jonathan on this timely and terrifying series.”
Its about first fixed television role of Robert De Niro’s incredibly long and illustrious career. Often hailed as one of the greatest actors in Hollywood history, his career is filled with iconic roles and films, including Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, The Godfather: Part II, The Hunter.
