The first date for the MotoGP 2023 season is set for Saturday 25 March in Portimao, but the roar of the engines has already invaded the curbs of the Portuguese track during the weekend that has just ended, where the latest tests before the checkered flag. Behind him by only 234 thousandths Luca Marini, who in turn precedes a fantastic Maverick, best Aprilia rider of the day. Some difficulties instead for Aleix Esparagrò who finishes twelfth. Fourth place for Alex Marquez, this year riding the Desmosedici of Team Gresini alongside Fabio di Giannantonio, who was unable to do better than ninth position. In front of him Fabio Quartararo, first rider of the Yamahas and of Japanese motorcycles in general, as the first seven are all Italian motorcycles.
Enea Bastianini crashes, fortunately without sustaining any injuries, but due to the crash he ends up in 17th position, ahead of a struggling Marc Marquez. We recall that the Spaniard is back from a two-year hiatus due to a bad injury to his right shoulder during a fall, where the bike hit him.
