Bastianini is confident in a further leap on Saturday
The first day of the debut race weekend in the official Ducati team was not exactly one to remember for Enea Bastianini, 15th in the morning session and 10th in the afternoon session.
The 25-year-old from Romagna spoke on the sidelines of free practice: “This morning I felt a bit displaced – he initially admitted – I was hoping to pick up where we left off in the tests. I suffered from less grip and the wind, but in the afternoon I managed to work better. Too bad about the two red flags, but above all I’m sorry for Pol. I hope he recovers soon”.
“My pace improved over the course of the day, I made a few small mistakes but the second ‘time attack’ was faster. I don’t lack pace, I just lack that feeling with the bike that can make me faster We will continue to work on it.”
