If it was a class assignment the professor wouldn’t put a pen to it: the competition of Pedro Acosta was perfect. The talent born in 2004 immediately took the lead and remained there until the end. Aron Canet he was attacked up to three laps from the end then Acosta gave the break and finished 1.3 ahead of the tattooed rider.
“We finally made it – said Acosta -, we suffered in qualifying, I thank the team, the coach, we worked a lot in the winter to arrive in these conditions”.
canet he made his 14th Moto2 podium without winning yet, it’s a record: “I’m happy but not 100%, we were fighting for the win, in the last four laps the front tire dropped and it was dangerous, I thought the championship is long and it was better to finish the race”.
Excellent third Tony Arbolino. Great race for Tony who tried to get back to the two in front, arriving at a disadvantage of 0.8, but then he gave up and decided to settle for the podium, on a track he doesn’t like: “I tried, I’ll sleep well tonight, I won’t I thought I had this pace, I was ready, it wasn’t so comfortable at the end of the race, we have to work on it, but first podium and first race, thanks team!”.
Celestine Vietti he was third after the first laps and competitive. The two LLPs, relating to 2022, brought him back, 13th. From there Vietti managed to climb up to 11th position.
Il rookie Dennis Foggia he finished 18th, ahead of the other Italian Lorenzo Dalla Porta.
