It cannot be defined as negative a season with two wins in motorcycling’s highest level championship. Indeed Miguel Oliveira he is more looking for confirmation of his talent than for redemption.
The situation is different for Raul Fernandez which, after a rather disastrous rookie year with KTM, he wants start from scratch with Aprilia.
The conditions are all there, for both. Portuguese is referred to by many as the possible outsider. The Spaniard as the possible surprise, one year later.
These are their words and their goals for 2023. Words and goals revealed during the presentation of their new team, that of Razlan Razali.
Miguel Oliveira: “I really like the new livery! The colors are different and unique and therefore it will be nice to take to the track. I can’t wait to compete in my first Grand Prix and to do it at my home track on an Aprilia RS-GP! A new challenge awaits me in 2023 and so I hope to do well and achieve the goals we set ourselves together this season. The bike has so much potential and I’m sure that now together with the team we will be able to adapt everything and even more to my riding to be fast and competitive right away”.
Raul Fernandez: “It’s totally different! I like it, especially the blue part. I arrived in the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team with a completely different mentality. It’s all new, not just the colors and I’m very happy to be here and to try to get back to having fun in the saddle to the bike. For this year my main goal is to smile again. I’m really happy to be part of the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team as I think I have the best opportunities here. The Aprilia RS-GP is a beautiful bike. They did a great job and I’m really happy. It went well in Sepang and Portimao and now I’m really looking forward to starting the season”.
