SuaraBandung.id – Buya Yahya explained the law of tasting food during fasting for a Muslim, especially for those who cook food.
As a mother, someone who usually cooks or maybe mothers who cook when preparing the menu, Buya Yahya emphasized that tasting food is something that is not forbidden.

“The scholars explained that it is permissible to taste food (while fasting) but with a note that it is not swallowed,” explained the caretaker of the Al-Bahjah Islamic boarding school, as uploaded on (14/4/2022).
So, what is meant by tasting food is to feel how the food tastes on the tongue, then when it knows the taste, it is taken back out of the mouth or melted.
As for if it is necessary to eliminate doubts when cooking during fasting, the spices to be used are prepared in advance, for example at night.
That way, as a Muslim who is fasting, you don’t need to taste the taste of the food because it has been prepared earlier.
