“The love of football brings millions of people together. That is the unique and beautiful thing about football,” the statement read. “Football will support the International Day against Racism and Discrimination next week with a major OneLove campaign. This is reflected in professional football, amateur football, school football and e-football. With OneLove we speak out for connection and against discrimination and all forms of discrimination in society. Our football belongs to everyone.”
The statement has been signed by, among others, all professional football organizations, interest groups for coaches, referees and amateur football, the KNVB and other parties involved in the fight against racism and discrimination, such as the national government, the Anne Frank Foundation and the Mijnals Commission.
