Without a doubt, the modding community is made up of very talented people who dedicate their time, often without financial compensation, to improve a video game. On some occasions, these efforts are rewarded in unmanageable and very welcome ways.
Last year Resident Evil 4 HD Project debuted, an unofficial remastering of Capcom’s cult classic. This project emerged in 2014 and was in development for 8 long years, as its creators undertook the task of redoing almost all the visual elements of the original experience, including lighting, character models, and textures.

Resident Evil 4 HD Project Developer Albert Marin Gets Job at Nightdive Studios
These efforts paid off. Through a post on the mod’s website, Albert Marin, one of the co-creators of the unofficial project, announced that he got a job at Nightdive Studios, a prestigious video game company specializing in remastering. This is the first time he has officially worked in the gaming industry.
“I am very happy because, for the first time in my life, I finally got a job in the video game industry. Thank you Joel for believing in me and thank you Stephen for the opportunity to be a part of Nightdive Studios,” Albert Marin wrote on the website.

Even though he currently has his hands full due to working and studying at the same time, the Spanish developer will still support the Resident Evil 4 Project HD mod. In fact, he’s already planning a new patch that he’ll release sometime this summer, though he claims he doesn’t have any free time right now.
According to his personal profile on Linkedin, Albert Marin has been part of the studio since January of this year and works as a 3D graphic artist and is in charge of updating the 3D models and textures. According to the information, he works remotely.
