Joey Veerman is a member of the Dutch national team. The PSV midfielder will train on Tuesday in the run-up to the duels with France and Gibraltar in the qualification for next summer’s European Championship in Germany. Veerman was called up on Monday as a replacement for the injured Frenkie de Jong.
National coach Ronald Koeman is training with all his 25 internationals on his 60th birthday. Donyell Malen already participated on Monday. The attacker of Borussia Dortmund was initially not part of the Orange selection, but was still allowed to report on Monday after Steven Bergwijn had dropped out injured.
The Dutch open the qualifying tournament for the European Championship on Friday with an away match against France in the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, near Paris. Gibraltar is a guest in De Kuip on Monday. The Netherlands will also compete against Ireland and Greece later in the European Championship qualification.
