The Marvel Universe, having so many characters, tends to make certain mistakes or leave several unknowns in the air with respect to them. Just as we find the great Iron Man mystery that Marvel finally has the opportunity to solve, many other characters also have various secrets or mysteries.
In both Marvel Comics and the UCM, stories can leave many unknowns and script holes. A great example of this is the existing script hole in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which Marvel should be ironing out.
As with Spider-Man, in the UCM we also find another character who hides a great secret that until now has not been revealed: Doctor Strange. Next, we tell you all the details about it.
This secret of Doctor Strange has not been explained so far
This great mystery regarding Doctor Strange has yet to be explained by Marvel
Doctor Strange, also known as Stephen Strange, was introduced into the MCU in the film titled Doctor Strangefrom Marvel Studios, released in 2016, and quickly became an important part of the franchise, playing a substantial role in each of the films in which he appeared.
Having appearances in movies like Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and more recently Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, Stephen Strange could establish himself as one of the most popular characters in the entire Marvel Universe.
In his participation in Avengers: Infinity War, we were able to see how Doctor Strange he lost his most powerful and valuable weapon: the Eye of Agamotto, at the hands of the evil Thanos, who planned to wipe out half the population of the universe. This mystical Marvel weapon, in the UCM, was apparently destroyed in said production.
However, later fans were able to see Doctor Strange use the Eye of Agamotto againwithout any explanation of how he was able to obtain it, nor how he was able to use the power contained in this tool if it was supposedly destroyed.
Thanos moments before destroying the Eye of Agamotto in Infinity War
During an interview with Cinemablend, prior to the premiere of Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, Sam Raimi explained that the Eye of Agamotto still possessed magical characteristics even without the Time Stone.
While Raimi’s statement apparently explains why he can use the power of the Eye of Agamotto, in Infinity War it seemed that Thanos pulverized this magical artifactso it’s confusing that Strange was able to use it again.
In the comics, the Eye of Agamotto doesn’t contain the Time Stone, but it still turns out to be a powerful weapon. Although this allows us to say that it does make sense that the Eye of Agamotto would be powerful even without the Gem, Marvel hasn’t explained this in the MCU.which makes viewers who don’t know the stories in the comics absolutely confused.
The only way Marvel has to explain the return of the Eye of Agamotto would be assuming that what Thanos destroyed in Infinity War was a replica of the mystical instrument, and that the real one hid it somewhere. This would be quite logical, as it would be irrational for Strange to have willingly decided to go with Thanos using the real Eye of Agamotto.
