Marvel Has Bad News for Kit Harington. On John Rocha’s The Hot Mic podcast, journalist Jeff Sneider has thrown in good news and bad news so all MCU fans can find out what’s going on behind the scenes. And there is information for all tastes and colors.
According to Jeff Sneider, things have improved a bit with the Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali after Marvel Studios delayed its release, hired a new director and tweaked the script. “Someone has told me that with Blade things have improved a bit,” said the journalist. It should be noted that Kit Harington is also part of this project. “Things have taken shape. The script is shorter and they have cut out the excess things. But the script I heard about was like 87 pages, like there wasn’t enough of it and they shaved it down to the bone.”
The connection to ‘Eternals’ has been removed
Unfortunately, the fat thing had to do with Blade’s connections to the Eternals and the Black Knight of the Game of Thrones actor. “What they have eliminated is that Blade was going to be related to the Eternals and Kit Harrington’s Black Knight,” said the journalist about Marvel Studios. Jeff Sneider went on to explain that the Black Knight isn’t really involved in the Blade movie anymore. “The Black Knight is no longer really involved in the Blade thing,” Sneider said. “Some roles may change, like that of the daughter. Was there a 14 year old girl? They may change it.”

While learning about the changes to Blade’s script isn’t surprising, removing Kit Harington’s Black Knight is. Not only did Mahershala Ali make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut directing the character of Dane Whitman, but Eternals visual effects supervisor Stephan Ceretti previously confirmed that the Ebony Sword was going to have a relevant role in Blade.
