For some time, Marvel has been leaving various clues that it could soon be introduce to the MCU one of the most popular Hulk stories in Marvel Comics.
The story in question is World War Hulk. In this comic, the Hulk is banished by the Illuminati, being thrown into space towards a planet called Sakaar. While there, the Hulk establishes a new life, but one day, suddenly the shuttle he traveled on explodes, killing his wife.
By virtue of this, Hulk is filled with angerand he decides to head to Earth with more thirst for revenge than ever, seeking mainly those who banished him in the first place.
In the UCM, there have been various references that allow us to base the theory that World War Hulk will be adapted soon. Beginning with the self-inflicted exile of the Hulk at the end of the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, the introduction of Sakaar in Thor: Ragnarok, the Illuminati’s version of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the appearance of the Hulk’s son, Skaar, in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
The World War Hulk storyline ended with the Hulk being imprisoned, and later being replaced by another hero.
