Who is the new villain of the MCU? Marvel Studios’ plans move into the future, and make it aware of what’s to come.
Marvel has announced the new MCU villain. As reported by TV Line, Straight Outta Compton actor Demetrius Grosse has been tapped to play a key role opposite Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the upcoming Disney+ superhero series starring Wonder Man. Grosse will play Eric Williams, the titular character’s brother, also known as the villainous Grim Reaper. Production on this superhero drama is expected to begin this spring.
Who is Grim Reaper, this new villain
In the Marvel comics, Eric Williams was portrayed as the black sheep of his family, leading him to live bitterly in the shadow of his younger brother Simon. He ends up creating an advanced scythe weapon that has the ability to drain people’s life force energy.. We’ll see what they end up offering us in the UCM regarding this character.
The Wonder Man series is being developed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and writer-producer Andrew Guest (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Community), with Guest serving as lead writer and Cretton serving as executive producer and director of some episodes. Marvel Studios’ MCU project will be part of Cretton’s overall deal with the studio. In addition to Cretton, The Photograph filmmaker Stella Meghie will also direct several episodes.
What can we expect from Wonder Man, the television series
Wonder Man is one of the oldest characters in Marvel’s long history. He was first introduced in 1964 in an early issue of The Avengers.. The character, named Simon Williams, was created by Stan Lee, Don Heck, and Jack Kirby, and was initially introduced as a supervillain fighting the Avengers. Will they count something like this in the UCM?
In the late ’70s, Wonder Man became a hero and ended up joining the Avengers in various iterations of the team. With “ionic energy” granted by Baron Zemo, Wonder Man has powers similar to other superheroes, including enhanced strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, and agility. I really want to know What will Marvel Studios do with Wonder Man in the MCU?.
