The name of the plate alludes to his year of birth, in fact on April 12 he will be 23 years old; the cover of this one is him as a baby. the other reason What the singer is happy about is because he has a tour of the Mexican Republic, in Guadalajara he will be performing next Thursday, March 23 at 9:00 p.m. at the Telmex Auditorium. “Of the records I’ve made, it’s the one that’s most in my style, what I wanted to do, it’s the one that best describes the musical personality of Manuel Turizo. It’s an album mainly for me, hoping that people connect with that and that they can know more of who I am musically. It’s not a single genre per se, it was actually being able to take all that musical influence that I had since I was young and in each song I hear myself totally different and be able to show all those things”.
He highlights that there are very varied styles of music, “it is not an album with a large number of collaborations, because it is an album that is too mine and too personal, I wanted to give myself the opportunity to show what I am. That is why it bears the name ‘2000’, the concept of the cover is very me, it is the story of Manuel, of the baby, the year in which I was born. So, musically it is being able to tell my story. But there are all kinds of genres, such as house, afrobeat, reggae, ballad, pop, reggaeton, merengue and bachata”.
But also in “2000” there is a tribute to Mexican music. “There is a song that, with all due respect to Mexican music, is influenced by it,” but he explains that they gave the song different touches, “and With those moves that we made, in the end I don’t know if it remains a mariachi, but the influence was totally this music and those old boleros, which was as if we had we heard the song drunk in a canteen and the next day we would have gone to the studio to do it our own style”.

About the collaboration with Shakira, which has been talked about a lot and where it is even revealed that the cover of the single is characterized as a mermaid, at least it is what circulates on social networks, Manuel said that this song is not included in his album and he cannot reveal information yet, because it is not yet in his “authority””. But he was excited by this collaboration that will undoubtedly be a precedent for his career.
As for how he deals with the subject of fame and if he feels like an extraordinary person, he stressed that he is still the same Manuel as always, although with more ambitions and more goals, but in the personal field he is himself, because it is also subjective how others see him, because while there are those who consider that he is an extraordinary person, there will be others who do not, but he continues with his feet on Earth. “I am faithful to who I am, simple, hard-working and respectful of people who are respectful of me.”
Finally, about the tour, he reiterated that it will be one of the best of their career and they are working hard in rehearsals.
