Loes and Wichian decide in the penultimate episode of Married At First Sight to stay married. But they tell Aran three months later that their marriage has ended anyway. “Since a few weeks now,” says Wichian. “It was quite difficult for me, but we took the plunge and talked a lot. We said: ‘It’s okay.’ It’s now official that we’ve broken up.”
Wichian is visibly having a hard time with it, so Loes grabs him. “I really think he’s fantastic, but there has to be more than just that. Hugging alone is not enough and he shouldn’t want to. He deserves someone who wants to kiss him too and I just can’t give him that.”

After much talking, they decide to divorce. “It also hurts, but it’s better for both of us,” says Wichian. Loes also has a hard time with this outcome. “I was very sad about that. Everyone thinks that boy is great and so do I.” Expert Anne Campagne has spoken with the couple. “It also showed that her feeling is missing on that part,” says Wichian about Loes.
The two have been separated for a few weeks now. In the beginning, Wichian does not want to let go of Loes. “It took a while because I thought: I don’t support it. I want to continue. I left room in the sense of: maybe it still has a chance. But it’s good. We closed the book well.”
Loes initially thinks that it is due to her health. “I haven’t been fit for a long time and if you’re not fit, you’re not quite yourself,” she says. “Whether you can say it was because of that, maybe, but it’s quite a rollercoaster we’ve been through,” says Wichian. Loes’ health is not much better yet, which she does not go into too much detail about. “Investigations are ongoing and that is a matter of waiting.”
Will the two remain friends? If it is up to Loes, yes, but for Wichian it is more difficult. “Normally I block it right away and then I’m done with it. But you have now experienced something so beautiful. It takes time for me to be able to say: ‘We will remain friends.’ We will see that in the future, I can’t say that now.”
