Square Enix has announced that LIVE A LIVE, a remake of the atypical 1994 SNES RPG available on Nintendo Switch, it’s coming to PS4, PS5, and PC. It’s coming out on April 27, and a free demo is already available on the PlayStation Store and later on Steam. It was announced through a trailer.
The game features seven playable characters spread across different eras, from prehistoric times to Edo-era Japan to the Old West. An antagonistic presence called Hate appears in each one, but what is their connection? Each character offers different stories and gameplay mechanics, with the HD-2D visuals bringing the game to life in gorgeous new ways.
In the demo, players can play through the opening parts of three stories: the Old West, Japan’s Edo Era, and the Distant Future. Pre-orders on the PlayStation Store and Steam get 20 percent off the title. With over 500,000 units shipped on Switch, it should be interesting to see how the remaster pans out on other platforms.
