With a luxury cast, Lionsgate+ was left with the rights to one of the most intriguing thrillers. This is known from the next series.
LIONSGATE+the international streaming service from STARZ, today announced a new original series from LIONSGATE+, The Couple Next Door. Produced by STARZ and Channel 4, the six-part Eagle Eye Drama thriller stars Sam Heughan (Outlander, Suspect), Eleanor Tomlinson (The Outlaws, Poldark), Jessica De Gouw (Pennyworth, Our Man from Jersey) and Alfred Enoch (Tigers, How to Get Away with Murder). The series is a dark and delicious psychological drama that explores the stifling claustrophobia of suburbia and the consequences of pursuing one’s darkest desires.
When Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson) y Pete (Alfred Enoch) move to a luxurious neighborhood, feel watched by their neighbors and in a state of anxiety, but soon find friendship with the couple next door, traffic cop Danny (Sam Heughan) and his wife, the glamorous instructor of yoga Becka (Jessica De Gouw). Sam Heughan leads the cast as Danny, who shares a passionate night with Evie, his beautiful but troubled neighbor.

Loosely adapted from the Dutch series New Neighbours written by David Allison (Marcella, Bedlam), directed by award-winning director Dries Vos (Suspect, Professor T), produced by Jen Burnet and executive produced by Jo McGrath, Walter Iuzzolino and Alison Kee. The Couple Next Door has been commissioned by Channel 4 Director of Drama Series Caroline Hollick and Programming Editor Rebecca Holdsworth. Karen Bailey, Executive Vice President of Programming, is the executive who oversees The Couple Next Door for STARZ.
The series is produced by Eagle Eye Drama and distributed worldwide by Beta Film. The Couple Next Door begins shooting in Leeds and Belgium later this year. The Couple Next Door will be available on Channel 4 in the UK, on STARZ in the US and Canada, and on Lionsgate+, STARZ’s international premium streaming service, in Latin America including Brazil.
