The Korean publisher Neowiz showed to the Taiwan Just And Game Festival a new soulslike gameplay Lies of P, arriving in August. In the new video, three different classes with different weapons and characteristics are shown, as well as information about the game.
When the player starts a new game, Pinocchio will wake up in Krat’s station, now in ruins. The protagonist will no longer remember anything from his past but only a sentence from Geppetto. The latter is not a carpenter in the universe created by Round8 Studio but an inventor, who produced an automaton that caused the rebirth of Krates, which forms the backdrop to the entire video game. In addition to showing the various main characters, the developers talked about the particular system of choices present in the game, called “Lie System“. Players, during the playtrough, will be faced with different choices to continue the storyline, choosing between lie or truth. Apparently, different endings will be available based on the player’s choices, and the more lies Pinocchio tells, the more human he will become.
In addition to the weapon combination system, the player will be able to customize Pinocchio’s body thanks to the Legion Arms system. In this way we will be able to create our own fighting style thanks to a vast repertoire of modifications. Finally, three different classes are shown that were selectable when the game demo was started. The first, Path of Cricketsand bass su one more balanced gameplay. The second, Path of the Bastardspushes more on agility and on throwing slashes in rapid sequence. The third and last class, Path of the Sweeperstends to be there title strength build, wielding a heavy weapon and dealing massive damage. We do not know if these three reference classes will also be available in the final build of the game.
Lies of P will arrive in august on PS5, Xbox Series X/S e PC tramite Steam. We are not yet aware of an official release date, so stay tuned with us. In case you missed it, here is 11 minutes of gameplay shown at the GDC.
