At the desk where the books that go home are scanned, there is a lady who has just picked out a book for herself and one for her son. “Usually I’m on time to return everything. Then the books are out before the term has expired. Still, it’s nice that this library no longer asks for money if I’m too late.” A little further on, at another statement, a lady agrees. “You do get reminders if you’re late. Then you also bring the book back, because you don’t read a book that has ended up at the bottom of a pile.”
