A few weeks ago a 2K private event was held to present their ambitious new driving project. LEGO 2K Drive is a racing game that takes place in a vast open world that is divided into different areas. players can build any type of vehicle and unlock other models throughout the Story mode to become a legend pilot. This confirms the first collaboration agreement between 2K and LEGO Group to develop AAA games with the famous toy brand. And for the first time we have a lego racing game, which has already tried its luck with a very popular Forza Horizon 4 DLC. The game will feature a collaboration with McLaren Automative to launch a double pack on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its founding by engineer Bruce McLaren.
Story mode and LEGO races
As we told you in our first impressions of LEGO 2K Drive, the world of Bricklandia is made up of several uniquely themed regions, where the player compete against the best pilots. The goal of Story mode is to win the coveted Celestial Cup. Throughout the map you will come across races, minigames, challenges, collectibles and a lot of fun for a player or in cooperative up to 6 people online. In local mode it supports up to 2 players with split screen and competitive multiplayer to fight against other players online.
LEGO 2K Drive has a wide variety of circuits with different themes to compete against other players in exciting races. Can personalize your vehicle to the maximum and use it in this mode with your own skills to achieve victory. Standard Edition It will be available for 59.99 euros on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch and 69.99 euros on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S in physical and digital format.Awesome Edition It will be available for 99.99 euros with early access (May 16). Includes a new vehicle, a vehicle style and a LEGO minifigure in the game.
