The fight it happened on Sunday afternoon near the hamlet of Fiumelatte in Varenna. The victim of the terrible accident is a 64-year-old motorcyclist from Camparada. His wife, a passenger, is in serious condition.
The police are investigating the dynamics of the accident. As soon as the motorbike collided with the small car, it caught fire. There was nothing to be done for the man while the woman was transported to the hospital with a red code. Her condition is currently very serious.
The provincial road was closed for a long time. “The umpteenth accident at that point once again makes us understand the urgency of creating a roundabout in the section that leads to the hamlet of Pino, as repeatedly requested by the municipal administration. The project has already been prepared, now we need the funds by the Province”, the words of the mayor of Varenna, Mauro Manzoni.
