LeBron Jamesworld basketball star, has teamed up with Sony to design his own PlayStation 5 and I control Dualsense. And it will be possible to buy soon, although we fear that with very limited units.
This is the first product to come out of the initiative PlayStation Playmakera group of “celebrities” from the world of sports or entertainment who will collaborate with Sony in various ways.
(Interestingly, around the same time Microsoft announced special Xbox editions of The Mandalorian.)
LeBron “the King” James has decorated the case of the PS5 and the Dualsense controller with personal drawings, which he decided for symbolism with his life and career.
LeBron James designs his own PS5
“It’s crazy to think that the kid from Akron who grew up playing games could create something like this. Designing a console skin and controller with PlayStation that winks at my students from I Promise and where we came from is a great thing,” he says. James.
“I hope it’s something that inspires everyone who plays it, and that they have a little fun looking for meaning in every detail.”
Later this limited edition of PlayStation 5 can be purchased through the store direct.playstation.combut it will only be available in some countries (the United States for sure, but we don’t know if it will reach Europe or Spain, because this promotion seems more aimed at “yankis”).
As previously announced, other celebrities who will be part of the PlayStation Playmakers initiative include country musician Jimmie Allen, actor King Bach, BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester, WNBA rookie NaLyssa Smith, NFL star Ja’Marr Chase and CeeDee Lamb, French soccer player Lisa Zimouche, Belgian soccer player Romelu Lukaku, content creator Julio Cocielo, and other personalities from pop culture, sports, and eSports.
