Very bad news: the friend Leandro Becheroni left prematurelyprobably from a heart attack. He had been an excellent driver of the 500, had won two Italian titles between junior and senior, as well as the 1981 European championship; he was part of that group of Italian private pilots who, at the turn of the seventies and eighties, had also filled the grids of the world championship.
Sympathetic, caustic in his jokes, hospitable, Leandro in recent years welcomed every time, on the occasion of the Italian GP at Mugello, the group of exes: riders, journalists, enthusiasts in general. At his place we ate well and above all we had fun.
He was nicknamed Cirano because of his important nose, he was Coni silver medal for athletic prowesshad ended his career in ’88 and had the merit of having a very young Alex Gramigni, later world champion, approached motorcycles. Our warmest hugs go out to Alex, Leandro’s family and all his friends.
