Lazio starts the home game against AZ in the Conference League on Tuesday with a wonderful feeling. The club won the away game at Napoli, the proud leader of the Serie A. Matías Vecino scored the winning goal in the 67th minute in Naples (1-0).
Trainer Pascal Jansen won on Friday with AZ at Vitesse (1-0). He had to laugh at the result of the duel in Naples. “We had a great draw,” he told ESPN. “Winning at Napoli is not given to many clubs. But we are going to sell our skin dearly at Lazio.”
Napoli suffered only the second league defeat of the season. Lazio moved into provisional second place in the table, 17 points behind the leader from Naples.
